Milkman, the most incredible mashup DJ I have ever heard, has expanded his domination of the musical realm to now include owning the Video Mashup segment of the industry, releasing his first video mashup comprised of snippits from the actual videos he mashes up in his life-changing track "Circle of Fifths." Helluv tight.

You might remember Milkman from the earlier post where I sincerely implored each and every one of you to check him out, regardless of whether you are a mashup fan or not. I admitted that I fucking hated mashups in general prior to learning about how tight it could actually be done (by Milkman of course). I had felt like it was just another musical cop-out at the hands of technology - more laziness made possible by advances in recording and playback technology - kind of like if P.Diddy's ridiculous samples buttfucked T-Pain's Autotune right in the ass to create and gestate the ultimate amalgamation of talentlessness - taking other peoples' musical creations and piecing them together in a different way and calling it your own. I had felt like this, that is, until my brother first hooked me up with copies of "Lactose and THC" and "Circle of Fifths," Milkman's deuce albums.

Since that day, my petty, hateful, closed ass mind has opened up to envision the mashup possibilities in store for all of us at the hands (and turntables/laptop) of Milkman, making me realize that I was not anti-mashups, conceptually, but rather anti-mashups practically; that is to say, the physical application of aaaaalmoooostttt all mashups prior to Milkman suck Donkey Balls (aside from, of course, those that are helluv tight, but they are few and far between). The talent, skill, musical mastery, and seemingly all-emcompassing diversity of musical appreciation that this dude possesses are fucking staggering. And now he is doing it just a little bit bigger, introducing VIDEO MASHUPS to his ever-expanding arsenal.

Music Video Mashup? That's right- Milkman has recreated Circle Of Fifths using the music videos from the (MILLIONS OF) original tracks. The video is posted on his website, Facebook page, or you can access the video here:

A video mashup of this calliber goes to show two things: 1) Milkman has an admirable and almost God-like knowledge of the musical stylings of yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and 2) If Fringe Jacket 80's Bon Jovi, Fat Joe, Shania Twain, Scott Storch (am I the only one that thinks he looks like a Tranny Alien Fetus?), Gorillaz, Andre 3000, Beck, OK GO, Three Six Mafia, Katy Perry, Lil Jon, Ludacris, Coldplay, and more can be put on megacollabo status and it works both musically and helluvvisionally, then Milkman is a motherfucking genius. Plus, having a steady stream of visuals to connect the dots across the history of music saves your tired, weary (read: stoned) brain from actually having to piece it together yourself.

Milkman will be releasing new mashup videos as soon as they are completed. Want your favorite Milkman track to be next in line? Take the poll on the website, the song with the most votes by the end of this weekend will be the next video created.

In other news, Milkman's Fall Tour dates will be announced within the next few weeks, keep a look out to see when he's coming to your town. I have a feeling that I might need to turn up the pressure on a Milkman/TightHelluv.com Launch Party Collabo when he hits the City By the Bay, and PLEASE DON'T CALL IT FRISCO!
